Technology driver behind MMK, an investment Robo-advisor platform that recommends multi-asset class investment strategy using data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and options trading to consumers in India. He manages algorithm design, identifies data sources, selects technology stack and cloud infrastructure, and supervises software development efforts. He leads all efforts related to training employees in R and web development. CEO, Shiva Corporation, USA & India (1996 – 2013)

Founded and successfully operated Shiva systems, a Management/IT consulting organization with offices in India and the US that supports Private Equity firms in M&A studies & due Diligence, systems integration, Corporate Restructuring, and outsourcing and Risk Analysis. Grew the firm’s revenue from US$ 2M in 1996 to US$ 17M in 2013. Corporate Software Development Manager – Tropical Shipping, Florida (1993 – 1996) I spearheaded initiatives to replace Tropical’s core business and the terminal operating systems. Managed & led Optimization of business processes related to logistics, IT and port operations, Development/deployment of Logistics, Marine Documentation, Container Terminal operating system, Automation of various core functions to achieve high return on various resource investments using resource allocation, product selection, buy/build analysis, risk management, outsourcing cost/benefit analysis.

As a member of the corporate development team, he drove various acquisition initiatives, valuation methodologies, risk analysis and post-merger systems integration. Administrative duties include budgeting, budget control, HR responsibilities (hiring, performance evaluations and employees’ welfare) and leadership training. Director PMO – NASA, Dow Chemicals, Citi Bank, Santa Fe Rail Rd (1991 – 1993). He led Architecture Design, Applications Development, Multi-platform Systems Integration and Infrastructure related consulting, Software globalization and localization, Case tool/software code auto generators implementation, customization and training for global organizations in Logistics/Transportation, plant maintenance and SCM areas on various hardware/software platforms. IT Analyst – Emirates Airline, Dubai (1988 -1990) Worked in teams involving Yield Analysis, New Route evaluations, Engineering Maintenance & planning and HR systems on various hardware/software environments. Led various development and application migration efforts for airline applications. Designed and developed software localization processes for engineering applications. Senior Lecturer, University of Madras, India (1984-1987) Taught Operations Research (Queuing Theory, Discreet event simulation, optimization theory), Numerical Methods, Advanced Programming Methodologies at graduate level in Madras University, India. PhD Thesis My research investigates how exogenous factors differently influence IT entrepreneurs and those in other sectors on their decision to reattempt entrepreneurship. It uses quantitative methods to assess probabilities and qualitative methods to explain the role played by the explanatory variables.
