Smart Campus Cloud Network – SCCN is a flagship project of Green TERRE Foundation and backed by international policy experts, world leaders and the industrial fraternity. SCCN aims to provide a platform where campuses can measure and compare each other's sustainability indices and introspect to plan future sustainability initiatives independently. It is a skill building initiative to help the youth to be prepared for building Smart Cities of the future and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through practical experience.

SCCN has knowledge and action platforms aimed at “learning by doing” and “meeting goals by modelling the roles”. Sustainability is a way of life and SCCN wants to leverage India's demographic dividend for this cause. Educational campuses are our country's growth engines and SCCN has started taking concrete steps to create awareness amongst the youth in these campuses. SCCN is being appreciated and encouraged by many colleges and universities in India on a regular basis.

Vision and Approach

Empowering youth for SDGs

SCCN seeks to empower youth to be at the forefront of the SDG 2030 agenda. Students will get hands-on self-learning, group-trainings, access to online resources through latest front-end technologies and mentorship from experts to develop their SDG-oriented projects.

SDG ready campuses

Institutes will get access to the basic Smart grid, renewable energy technology, monitoring and data sharing platform SmartSense - cloud dashboard for energy, water, fuel, air quality and waste management and students get access to platform APIs to develop applications for smart campus

Building Global Network

Students will create long lasting partnerships and will have the possibility of adapting their projects to different contexts across the world.

Students led SCCN core group at campuses

Partner universities to start SCCN core group to initiate discussion around the use of technology for efficiency gains across energy, education and health sectors.

On-campus and in-community project pilots

Projects developed by students to be implemented at the university level and community level. Potential for faculty support and private sector participation will be enhanced.

Climate change affects the social and environmental determinants of health i.e. clean air, safe drinking water, nutrient food and secure shelter. As per WHO’s estimate, between 2030 and 2050, climate change is expected to cause approximately 250 000 additional deaths per year, from malnutrition, malaria, diarrhoea and heat stress.

Campuses are where talent is incubated, minds are moulded, actions are forged and targets are prioritized. Therefore College Campuses are the places to mainstream sustainable development in the career development of the aspiring youth.

At Ecolibrium, we believe that IOT and Big Data Analytics would not only help campuses become more sustainable but also create a virtual collaborative network of campuses which bring students, corporate and government together to develop local solutions for smart cities.

SCCN and DigiLocker shares common vision of digital world and creating smart campuses. DigiLocker not only aims at providing authentic digital documents to citizens but also facilitates digital delivery of e-Governance services.
