Founder Samanvaya: A Platform for Policy Discourse

Dr. Asheesh Shah is a distinguished academician, scholar, and leader in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. With a career spanning several decades, he has made significant contributions to education, research, and policy development in India and around the world.

Dr. Asheesh Shah's career has been marked by a series of leadership roles and international experiences. He served as a senior faculty member at Shri GSITS Indore, one of Madhya Pradesh's top government engineering institutes, from 1988 to 2000. During this time, he not only taught but also mentored and inspired numerous students in the field of engineering. In 2000, Dr. Shah's expertise and leadership qualities led him to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where he served as the Chief Coordinator for VDAT (VLSI Design Automation and Test) until 2003. His contributions in this role were instrumental in advancing research and education in VLSI design.

His international journey took him to King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he served as a senior faculty member from 2008 to 2010. This experience allowed him to collaborate with experts from diverse backgrounds and expand his global network. Dr. Shah's commitment to strengthening academic ties between India and France led him to serve as the Country Coordinator at the Higher Education French Embassy from 2006 to 2007. During this tenure, he facilitated the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Indian and French universities, fostering international cooperation in education.

Notable Achievements - Dr. Asheesh Shah's achievements are a testament to his dedication and expertise:

• He holds a doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering, complemented by management programs from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) and a Strategy & Leadership Program from the Wharton  School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
• As the Chief Coordinator for round table meetings with NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (HuPA), Dr. Shah played a pivotal role in bringing together top experts to discuss policy issues related to habitat and cyber security.
• He served as the Chief Coordinator for the Indian International Science Festival (IISF) in 2015 and 2017, where he successfully brought together over 2000 scientists from across the country and coordinated the largest science practical, earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
• Dr. Shah coordinated the Aakash Tablet program under the mentorship of IIT Bombay and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), contributing to the proliferation of technology in education.
