SCCN-ready Gujarat

The land of Asiatic Lions, the white desert of Rann of Kutch, colourful handicrafts, festivals, food, unique culture, and its many religious sites – Gujarat, has decided to transform its universities into Smart and Sustainable campuses.

Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN), a network of universities with currently 74 members in its pilot phase that ended on 31st December 2019. The year 2020 will be a year of operation, scale-up and offshoots to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goals and Smart Cities Mission of India.

TERRE Policy Centre would be launching its Smart Campus Cloud Network project from 15th Feb to 22nd Feb 2020 in the following campuses:

1.IIT Gandhinagar

2.Anand Agricultural University

3.Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University

4.Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT)

Mr. Rajendra Shende, Chairman TERRE and Former Director UNEP will be addressing these campuses with special attention on Carbon Neutrality. With MITADT Pune being the first university under SCCN to initiate carbon neutral initiatives, TERRE will now be expanding its network in India's westernmost state.
