Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN) joins hands as Ecosystem Partner for the Circular Innovation Jam 2020! for India region which is organized by The Incubation Network in collaboration with Climate Collective and AtWorks. This regional ideation event will take place across five countries in South & Southeast Asia. The event seeks to develop innovative solutions to advance local circular economies for plastics and effective plastic waste management systems in cities across South and Southeast Asia to reduce ocean plastic pollution.

Taking place across 5 countries in South and Southeast Asia, the Circular Innovation Jam is a week-long design thinking sprint that brings innovative minds together to learn about the circular economy and develop new solutions for local waste management and ocean plastic pollution.

The Circular Innovation Jam will focus on developing solutions in the following areas:
  • The development or adoption of innovative reusable and environmentally friendly packaging or mechanisms in households in South & Southeast Asia
  • The efficiency & effectiveness of existing waste collection, management & recycling systems in South & Southeast Asia
  • The prevention and reduction of plastic waste in rivers and waterways in South & Southeast Asia

Using a design-thinking methodology, participants will take part in a structured process to learn more about the issue of ocean plastic pollution and develop solutions that respond to challenge statements developed with our partners related to waste management, recycling, and the circular economy issues in South & Southeast Asia. These solutions will then be showcased to our global network, with the top ideas receiving up to $5000 USD worth of support (financial and/or technical) for further development from our incubation partners.
