Waseda University visits TERRE and MIT, India

Dr. Kiyoshi Saito and Prof. Hajime Yabase from Waseda University, Japan visited TERRE Policy Centre and MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering on 5th and 6th March 2018.

Dr. Saito gave special focus on energy efficiency in refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump. Prof Yabase gave detailed insight of heat pump and H2 energy usage in Kobe city. TERRE and Waseda university have collaborated to use these technologies in campuses as a part of Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN).

On 6th March 2018, a roundtable interaction was organized by TERRE in MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering for the experts from Waseda and MIT professors as follows:

  5. Prof. Dr. K. V. Mali, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-WPU
  6. Prof. Dr. S. V. Dingare, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-COE
  7. Prof. Dr. S. N. Havaldar, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-WPU
  8. Prof. Mr. S. H. Barhatte, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-WPU
  9. Prof. Mr. A. V. Jomde, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-COE
  10. Prof. Mr. S. P. Wadkar, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-COE

The professors from campus participated zealously to incorporate the smart technologies in their campuses to ensure energy saving to its maximum.

Rajendra Shende, Chairman TERRE Policy Centre and Founder of SCCN project moderated the interaction and believes that the collaboration between these two reputed universities can produce outstanding results.

MIT is now in process to develop project plans in association with Waseda university.
