Christ College of Engineering and Technology, a unit of Sam Paul Educational Trust was established in the year 2007 with the aim of empowering young aspirants into successful professionals. The Premier Institution was founded by the far-sighted vision of Dr. S. R.S. Paul, a multi-faceted personality – Philanthropist, an Educationist, a Sportsman, a Lawyer and his dynamic leadership won widespread appreciation. This Temple of Technological Education is being administered by Dr. A. Siva Kumar, Principal, a beacon of light who has been directing both the students and staff in the right way towards academic exploration. The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and affiliated to Pondicherry University. CCET has been progressing new heights every year in the pursuit of Technical Education and it offers Six B. Tech courses-CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, MECHANICAL, CIVIL and Two PG courses- MBA and MCA. The institution has rich ambience for learning, excellent infrastructure facilities with state-of-art laboratories, well-stocked digital library with huge collection of books, national and international journals, highly qualified and experienced faculty. The Institution has an excellent Academic and Placement Record, produced 18 University Gold Medalists, 155 University Rank Holders and 85% of our students are graduated since its inception. It is noteworthy to mention that 3321 students of our college have been placed in Top Multinational and Core Companies from the year 2011 to 2020 and 27% of our students are working abroad. Helping Drops Scheme has been functioning in our college to support economically backward cum meritorious students financially for paying their tuition fee. The college is located in the heart of Puducherry city and operates its own fleet of buses in and around the city for the convenience of staff and students. In addition to the curriculum, Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposiums, Workshops, Seminars, Guest Lectures, and Webinars are being conducted eventually to enrich the knowledge of the students. To bring out the inherent talent of our students, we also encourage them to participate in the project exhibit, presenting papers, technical quiz and other competitions organized by both our institution and other institutions. Mr. Immanuel Nehimia, M.Tech, ECE student (Wireless Communication) participated in the Research Paper Competition and received the “Young Scientist” award with a cash prize of Rs.25,000/-. organized by the Indian Science Congress Association at Mysore University. Mr.V. Mahesh and Mr.G. Kanishkar, Mechanical Engineering students brought laurels to our institution in winning the first prize with a cash award of Rs.35, 000 in SHAASTRA ROBO WAR EVENT conducted by IIT-Madras. We have established IIC (Institution Innovation Council) through which we are imparting the benefits of Startups, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation which could empower the young minds by, inviting various Experts in the particular domain.
Apart from which we have established IIC (Institution Innovation Council) in 2020 and through this as per the Ministry of Innovation Council Calendar we have conducted more than 15 activities for the academic calendar 2020-21 related to IPR, Start-ups, and Entrepreneurial Skills. Moreover, we are the only Nodal center in Pondicherry to Conduct ISRO-IIRS Outreach Programmes. With all these, we are willing to Collaborate with you to empower our students and Faculties by conducting Both Inter and Intra college Level activities for the benefit of the Upcoming Young Minds
