Hon. Prakash Javadekar,India's Central Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting, who launched the dashboard of SCCN on 5th June 2017 reviewed the progress of the Network. His mentoring was instrumental in transforming SCCN to make it a National and now a Global movement. He agreed that India's dream of $ 5 trillion economy by 2024 starts from activities of Smart Campus.​
