Alandi is a town popularly known as a place of pilgrimage for being the resting place (Samadhi) of the 13th century Marathi Saint (Bhakti), Sant Dyaneshwar. In this religious abode, MIT Academy of Engineering has registered for Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN) and is all set to bring sustainaibility approach in town.
On 29th November 2017, SCCN team - Dinah Gengmei, Project Leader TERRE Policy Centre and Angat Thorat, SmartSense visited the campus to identify the smart energy meter installation points building-wise and distribution-wise both. Mr. Satish Kabra, Assistant Professor E&TC took the team for complete campus survey and data were collected. The management at MITAOE are enthusiastic to get SCCN activities in the campus and will soon be forming core group of students and faculties. MITAOE will soon sign MoU with TERRE and initiate the ground implementation activities.
