Bhutan, pioneering in the concept of 'Gross National Happiness' (GNH) index is the happiest country in Asia. Globally, it holds the eighth rank in Happiest Country and the second fastest growing GDP. More than that, Bhutan is known to be exceptionally guarding its environment and cultural identity.

Resting in this personified beauty, College of Science and Technology (CST) under Royal University of Bhutan is the first institute in the country to offer undergraduate degree programmes in engineering, which was introduced in 2001 by Royal Command. It is responsible to oversee the tertiary education system in the Kingdom of Bhutan in the field of science and technology. The college is located at Rinchending in Phuentsholing.

CST works on the following mission:

  • To offer internationally recognized programs in science and technology
  • To generate new knowledge through research and innovation to fulfill the needs of the society
  • To collaborate with stakeholders and provide expert services
  • To provide community services to enhance GNH base society

CST has officially registered for SCCN to ensure its tangible contribution to United

Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
