SIIB starts monitoring energy consumption through SCCN Core Group

The first ever campus in SCCN has initiated monitoring of electricity usage and working on the ways to reduce their consumption pattern

The first campus to be registered with SCCN, i.e., Symbiosis Institute of International Business has kicked-off implementation of assessing electricity consumption in its campus. Six core groups of students to monitor electricity consumption have been formed for this purpose. Each group include, students with appropriate experience (example, Electrical engineering) and they regularly check real time consumption of electricity used in campus. Their immediate goal is to find out average daily and weekly consumption as well as peaks and troughs.

Weekly reports are being prepared for consumption and fixing the average consumption of Per Square Feet of buildings as well as Per Capita consumption in campus. The core groups have also prepared a report to submit to UGC (University Grants Commission), who will be visiting the campus soon to overview SCCN activities.
